4 players win $1,500 each in Week 11 of Lucky's contest (Nov. 18)

Four players from across Nevada selected a perfect card and won $1,500 each in the Lucky’s Progressive Carryover Contest for Week 11 of the pro football season.

Going into Monday night’s game between the Browns and Bills, 25 players were alive to win a share of the $6,000 weekly prize. Of those players, 21 needed favored Buffalo at home.

The Bills took their first lead of the game, scoring a touchdown with just over two minutes left, but the Browns’ Phil Dawson nailed a 56-yard field goal with 1:39 left to put Cleveland ahead en route to a 29-27 win.

Two of the winning players submitted their picks at Lucky's Race & Sports Book the Grand Sierra Resort & Casino in Reno. One winner submitted his picks at Buffalo Bill's in Primm. One winner submitted his picks at Terrible's Town Casino in Pahrump.

In addition to the Browns, the four contest winners also correctly picked the 49ers, Broncos, Buccaneers, Cardinals, Colts, Cowboys, Dolphins, Giants, Packers, Panthers, Saints, Steelers and Titans in Week 11. The Eagles vs. Bengals game ended in a tie, so players selecting either team were credited with a win.

The $100,000 Lucky’s Progressive Carryover Pro Football Contest, unique in Nevada, requires players to pick all the winners of each week’s Sunday and Monday night games without the point spread. If nobody selects a perfect card, the contest prize carries over to the following week, with $6,000 being added to the total.

The contest resumes this week with a $6,000 prize. Picks can be submitted until 9 a.m. Sunday at any Lucky’s Race & Sports Book in Nevada. Lucky’s has sports books as the following casino locations: The Plaza and Terrible’s in Las Vegas, Terrible’s Primm Valley Resorts, Terrible’s Town and Terrible’s Lakeside in Pahrump, the Grand Sierra in Reno, Casino Fandango in Carson City and the Red Lion in Elko.

Cardinals victory seals contest win for 40 players (Nov. 11)

The Arizona Cardinals resisted a late scoring drive by the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night and made 40 Lucky’s contest players across Nevada $150 richer.

All 40 contestants who picked all 12 Sunday pro football games correctly needed the Cardinals, 10-point favorites at home, to complete a perfect card in the Progressive Carryover Contest and win a share of the $6,000 weekly prize.

The Cardinals trailed with less than 5 minutes left in the game, but a late touchdown put them ahead 29-24. The 49ers subsequently drove down the field and threatened to score in the final seconds, but were stopped on the 2-yard line.

In addition to the Cardinals, the 40 contest winners also correctly picked the Chargers, Colts, Dolphins, Falcons, Giants, Jaguars, Jets, Panthers, Patriots, Ravens, Titans and Vikings in Week 10.
