Congratulations go out to Bruce G., who wins $6,000 for his perfect card in Week 9 of our Progressive Carryover Football Contest. Bruce plays at the Lucky’s in Elko at the Red Lion, our very first race and sports book to open back in July.

While Bruce’s winnings were a fraction of the $48,000 won the previous week by Steve J. in Vegas, it can be argued that Bruce pulled off the more impressive feat. Many of us at Lucky’s were surprised to find out Sunday night that there was one player alive after a tricky day of football, including a victory by the previously winless Bengals over the Jaguars. On Monday night, Bruce needed the Steelers, which were 2 ½ point underdogs at the Redskins. Pittsburgh rolled to an easy 23-6 to seal Bruce’s win.

There’s still $48,000 up for grabs in our contest over the next eight weeks, and it will be interesting to see how many winners we have.
