Remember when you would get a call from one of your buddies, and everyone was to meet at the Dunes coffee shop or the Barbary Coast for lunch, and on the agenda were stories of what just happened or what was to happen or what could happen?

Well, you can throw out all of that with the Titans ticket you had from Sunday because it ain’t worth nothing!

Today, however, you meet up on Facebook, websites, i-Pods, e-mail and many more "virtual coffee shops." So get online or get out of the way.

We reach many people from our Lucky’s website as well as from GamingToday, and you must take advantage of it.

For instance, I get asked many questions from these sites, and they give me the ability to post things that are relevant and could be useful.

Some of the kinds of questions include how the sports book industry operates, or where we get the idea for some of our props. (They mostly come out of my head.)

I guess there’s a lot of fascination out there over what we do and how we do it.

Sometimes, it’s easy to lose sight of our "controlled chaos," kind of like not seeing the forest because we’re so close to the trees.

Anyway, after last Saturday’s college games in which we saw Florida struggle and the Crimson Tide having a little tussle themselves, two messages surfaced on our board: What would you make the number if these two would meet up for the SEC conference championship game?

Again, this number could be made in a closet but if I didn’t get the message from two guys who live halfway cross the country, who somehow couldn’t get over to the Dunes coffee shop, we might not have posted it at Lucky’s.

So keep those cards and letters (and e-mails, and Tweets and Facebook) coming, and I am sure we will put something up to your liking.

By the way, we posted the Gators as favored over the Crimson Tide of Alabama.
